T.J. McCormick is the founding and lead pastor of Coastal Community Church. Before starting Coastal, T.J. served on staff at Bayside Community Church where he was in charge of leading small groups and missions for the church. T.J.'s passion in life is to help others to discover their potential and fulfill the purpose and plans that God has for their life. T.J. has been married to his wife Shayla for the past 9 years. They have been friends since they were 11 years old and now enjoy loving life together. While not pastoring a local church, T.J. enjoys playing golf and playing golf and then playing some more golf.

Feeling the call of God on his life, Jonathan joined our staff as Worship Pastor here at Coastal Community Church in January 2010. He has a love for music and a deep desire to see our culture connect with the heart of God. Jonathan was born in Mississippi and raised in Montgomery, AL. by his pastor dad and musician mother. At age 14, while on a missions trip to Arlington, TX. Jonathan was called into ministry. Since that time he has lead worship for numerous youth groups and conferences as well as the privilege of entertaining troops while on a 12 month deployment in Baghdad, Iraq. He is an Army Veteran who served as an Infantryman for 6 years. After fulfilling his commitment to the Army he was released in February of 2009. He immediately transitioned into Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, AL. where he joined their leadership institution as a worship intern. Since then he served as interim worship pastor for Church at the Crossing in Dothan, AL. for six months which lead to him becoming a part of the vision here at Coastal Community Church. He is also currently completing his degree in Theology from Lee University. He and his wife Katherine have been married for nine years, have two children, Eli and Lydia and are expecting their third child in May.

Wayne's passion is to communicate and help kids learn and apply the powerful truths of Gods Word. He finds great joy in seeing kids, "EXPLORERS", seeking God and establishing two key "ELEMENT's": a Faith in Christ, and an amazing Relationship with Him! Wayne is married to his awesome high school sweetheart Jennifer, and they have two children. The always energetic Willis, and the loving, adorable Hailey. Wayne served as Service Coordinator and presenter, and was on the leadership and creative teams for Bayside Kid's at Bayside Community Church. The Wilson's moved from Bradenton, Florida to the Coconut Creek area in June of '09 with Pastor TJ and Shayla McCormick to help plant Coastal Community Church. In his spare time, Wayne loves to spend time with family, friends, meeting new people, entertaining, fishing, and teaching kids to do new things! And he like's to race on Heely's!

Shayla is a native Floridian, born & raised in Bradenton, FL. She is the oldest of 6 kids (that is why she is so bossy, just kidding). Shayla & T.J. have been married for 10 amazing years and can't wait to spend the rest of their lives together. Since being married they have felt God's call to plant a church and their dream became a reality when they planted Coastal Community Church in September 2009.
